ALL LEVELS (Yoga for everybody)

NEVER DONE YOGA BEFORE??? TRY A CLASS WITH A STAR BESIDE FIRST TO HAVE THE BEST EXPERIENCE THEN YOUR TEACH CAN RECOMMEND WHAT IS A GOOD NEXT STEP.

*Beginner Yoga

Great for students brand new to the practice or those looking to get more substance and explanation. A great way to learn the basics with other beginners in a nurturing and soothing environment.

Hatha Yoga

Hatha Yoga is the most widely practiced yoga in the world. Using postures (asana) and breath work (pranayama) that helps reduce stress and builds better body, mind, and spirit awareness. Cultivate steady strength through a well-balanced array of stretching, opening, and toning postures and movement/breathing techniques.  This practice aims towards a soulful and sustainable lifestyle by moving through slower, deeper work.  Expect to focus, drain tension, lengthen your limbs and strengthen your core and legs!  Classes are tailored to individual students’ needs; instructors will offer modifications based on injuries and mobility limitations, and select postures for practitioners of all shapes and sizes and all levels of flexibility.  These classes are accessible for beginners, yet they are also a perfect complement for aggressive and fiery practices.

*Gentle Hatha

A slower and more broken down version of our Hatha.

Yin Yoga

Yin yoga is a practice that focuses on deep stretching of your connective tissues (particularly the fascia, tendons, and ligaments). In this class you will hold Yin poses up to several minutes which cultivates strength and flexibility, improves joint mobility, improves posture, and can release trauma in the body. Yin also helps to move blocked ‘chi’ in the body (energy channels) and nourishes the body meridians to assist with emotional, mental and physical health.

*Restorative

Focuses on calming poses and passive stretching that target the body’s relaxation response. Poses are supported with props and held for an extended amount of time. This is a peaceful and slow practice that supports the body in comfortable positions so the muscles can relax, the mind can settle, and the heart can heal.

Yin & Yang Yoga

Is a slow paced class that will combine warming, energizing postures  with cooling, passive postures. Balancing the yin and yang energies, this practice will build strength and integration as well as flexibility and calmness. Yang poses target the strength and flexibility of the muscles. Yin poses target the flexibility of the connective tissues and circulation in the joints. The first half of class will focus on yang movements, while the second half will be comprised of calming yin as well as restorative postures. Props will be used and modifications will be offered.
